Mr. Nick Bugiak

BUGIAK, Nick With profound sadness and deep sorrow, the family of Nick Bugiak of Edmonton, formerly of Andrew, treasured husband of Lena, announces his passing on December 18, 2013, at the age of 87 years. Our precious beautiful brown-eyed Prince is on his final journey: destination….Heaven, to await Lena, his precious blue-eyed Princess, when she arrives there to join him. Treasuring his memory and celebrating the generosity and kindness of his heart is Lena, his wife of 60 years. He is survived by his brother Bill (Ilene); sisters-in-law: Mary, Olga, Fern, Marlene; Marlene (Hugh) Park, Katherine McKenzie, Connie (Steve) Heidelberger, and numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and valued former students and colleagues. Nick was predeceased by his parents: John and Helen and brothers: George, John, Michael and Alec. Nick will be remembered as a gentleman extraordinaire. He had a gentle demeanor and a caring positive nature. He was super knowledgeable and well informed. He had a genuine curiosity about life and events, political, financial and general. Nick truly enjoyed a long, rewarding career as an exemplary educator and role model in rural school settings and then in Biological Sciences in Andrew High School. He was a highly respected gent of integrity and honor. Nick was blessed with an adventurous spirit. He and Lena travelled the world. They explored all seven continents. They were experienced cruisers having circumnavigated the globe many times. Nick was a life-long athlete. He excelled in hockey. In baseball he was known as a strike-out pitcher. Later he was passionate about curling and golf until his 80’s. He was a restorer of many antique cars. His favorites were a 1932 Chev Coupe and a 1956 T-Bird, and he loved his MGB. But the love of his life was Lena: his treasured wife, his soul mate and life mate and dearest loyal friend, in a marriage based on true love and devotion. Respecting Nick’s wishes, there will be no service or funeral. Cremation has taken place. Rest peacefully my dearest love, My Beautiful Brown-Eyed Prince, until we meet again to continue our togetherness into Eternity. Your Blue-Eyed Princess, Lena.
