Ian Lloyd White

E. White. Ian was a kind hearted person who loved helping family and friends whenever he could. Ian had a passion for cars, most of all Ford Mustangs. Taking a cruise with the top down, sun at his back, the wind on his face and his wife by his side were among his happiest moments. It was said of Ian by his dear friend Ken Preston, “Ian was driven except when he was driving.” Ian enjoyed camping with his wife; they had started camping together 40 years ago. Going out every weekend from May long weekend to Thanksgiving weekend in October. His motor-home was very much one of his ways of being close to his family and friends. Ian loved his pets, there was always a furry pooch running around the house. Ian worked 27 years with the City of Edmonton prior to working 5 years of Risk Management contract work and 6 years with Economical Insurance. Ian is predeceased by his beloved parents, Gerald and Audrey. Ian is survived by his loving wife Donna of 36 years, his son Neal and daughter Nicole (Greg). Ian loved his family very much and wishes them the very best in whatever they do. Ian will be placed at Mount Pleasant cemetery, next to his father. A memorial service will be held for Ian on November 20th at the Sawmill Banquet and Catering Centre, 3840 76th Avenue NW Edmonton AB at 2pm. A Celebration of Life will be held for Ian on May 30th, 2015. In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated to the Edmonton Humane Society in honour of Ian’s love for his 4 legged furry friends or to the Canadian Red Cross Health Equipment Loan Program. “May the road rise up to meet you.
